FITNESS WEEK CELEBRATION

DAY1: YOGA SESSION

The junior wing conducted yoga session for the children. The class teachers of LKG to V demonstrated various asanas like Bhujanga Asana, Chakrasana etc. followed by ‘Onkar Chanting’. The students were made aware of various benefits of these asanas. The PED. teacher encouraged the children to make yoga an integral part of their daily lives.

DAY2:FREE HAND EXERCISES

Students of classes III to VIII assembled in ground and were briefed about importance of exercising for maintaining good health. Students were taught a few free hand exercises to strengthen muscles of body. They were also told how movements like jumping, bending, swinging etc. help to increase fitness and flexibility.

DAY3: POSTER MAKING COMPETITION

The competition was held from IX onwards classes. The topic of the poster was ‘Fit body-Fit mind’ and ‘Fit environment-Fit health’. The students enthusiastically participated in the competition.

DAY4: ESSAY WRITING

Students of classes VI to VIII participated in the Activity. The topic for essay was ‘Fit India School’. The students wrote thought provoking essay. Best essays were displayed on Class board.

DAY5: MASS PT

Students of classes I to XII assembled in assembly ground. PED instructor did warming up exercises with the students and promoted them into physical training.

DAY6: AEROBICS AND DANCE SESSION

Classes III to V participated in dance session. Random songs were played in the activity room and they showcased their moves.

Classes VI to VIII participated in Aerobics session. They did PT exercises with soothing music.
